Introduction to the position
Join Jobzyn, a NextGen recruitment platform, as an AI/ML Engineering Intern for a 6-month pre-hiring internship. You’ll play a key role in building the data and AI foundation behind our intelligent candidate job matching systems. Working closely with our product and engineering teams, you’ll contribute to developing, training, and evaluating models that power the future of recruitment technology.
Your role
As an AI/ML Intern, you will:
- Aggregate and Clean Data: Collect, process, and structure large datasets to create high-quality training data for our AI models.
- Build Training Datasets: Help design and prepare datasets for model fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Train and Evaluate Models: Assist in training machine learning models, running experiments, and measuring model performance.
- Contribute to AI Pipelines: Support the integration of data pipelines and model workflows into our production systems.
- Experiment and Innovate: Explore new data preprocessing techniques, open-source models, and evaluation methods to continuously improve model quality.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with engineers and product managers to ensure model outputs align with real-world recruitment needs.

You’ll join a passionate team of engineers and innovators dedicated to transforming how people find jobs and companies hire talent. Collaborating directly with the CTO, AI engineers, and product team, you’ll gain hands-on experience with real production data and contribute to shaping Jobzyn’s AI strategy.
Your qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and strong interest in ML/AI development.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Experience (academic or personal) fine-tuning ML models.
- Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, or dataset labeling concepts.
- Basic knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, and evaluation techniques.
- Good command of English communication, both written and spoken.
- Eagerness to learn, experiment, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
